PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM MENASEHATI ANAK KECANDUAN GAME MOBILE ONLINE

Abstract

This research is motivated by the number of children who are already dependent on online mobile games. Children who are addicted to game will find it difficult to concentrate, difficult to interact with their social environment, so that children become closed and introverted children, and all of that is caused by lack of attention and firmness of parents to children. Lately, many parents have underestimated their children's habits of playing online mobile games, for various reasons and finally, children are not well affected. The purpose of this study was to find out how the role of parents in advising children to become addicted to online mobile games. This research was carried out using qualitative methods, selecting informants, people were taken based on criteria that had been determined by the researcher by the criteria the background and objectives of the study, while the informants in the study were parents of children who were addicted to online mobile games. The results of this study indicate that the way parents advise their children is by giving an understanding of the negative impacts that children will receive if they continue to play mobile online games in excess, and parents direct their children to do more positive things than playing online mobile games.
